Kat & Mat's big bike trip
Day 20 Saluzzo
Today is bit easier than yesterday: a two hour train ride up into the Alps, and then a 60km ride to Saluzzo which is downhill all the way!
The train ride was beautiful, climbing up past pretty mountain villages and icy blue rivers. There was plenty of snow on the peaks at the top, and we were very grateful that we didn't have to cycle up it all.
We met a lovely woman called Line on the train, she's cycling from France to Greece. We spent the day cycling together.
The ride down from Limone was spectacular to start with, snowy mountains and a steep descent, following the river. After 15km it flattened out a bit, and we took a break in Cuneo for lunch in a park. After that it was mostly flat all the way, with a few hills that wore us out.
