Kat & Mat's big bike trip
Day 81 Corinth
The wind has died down considerably and we had a totally flat ride, mostly right next to the water.
We cycled past a single line of houses opposite the coast with a few detours into tiny towns and through fields, but we were mainly looking at the sea for the majority of the ride.
We did bump into another cycling couple from the UK at the start of the day, Jack and Niamh, who had cycled from London. Several times we passed each other while taking breaks, and they're staying in Corinth tonight so hopefully we can meet for a drink.
We had a picnic lunch on the beach - pittas with cheese, tomato and humus. Salads won't survive the heat so we're having to adapt. We've also learnt not to slice tomato in advance otherwise it turns into tomato soup.
In the afternoon we saw the concrete structures of one unfinished, abandoned hotel or property after another. The buildings are mainly low rise, some new builds but many older properties and plenty of empty, overgrown plots.
Just one more day of cycling in Greece to go! Tomorrow we head to Athens.
Love, Kat & Mat x
