Kat & Mat's big bike trip
Day 74 Lygia
As always, we set off and immediately had to do a large hill!
Lunch was in a little wooden shelter next to a beautiful lake filled with lilies. There was an army of ants scouting for food, taking the scraps we dropped and dragging them back to their nest.
It's sooo hot here, we'd finished 5L of water by 13:30 and had to stop to buy more. It's been a beautiful day's ride, very quiet roads, so much greenery, flowers, insects and joy. A friendly dog with a manky foot escorted us through a village for ten minutes.
We're really enjoying Greece. Today was such a gorgeous ride, it's a really gentle, beautiful and peaceful country.
We stayed near a beach in a quiet area that has just a handful of villas and restaurants surrounded by flowers and greenery. We had supper in a local taverna: moussaka and stuffed tomatoes.
