Kat & Mat's big bike trip
Day 21 Turin
Woke up to a cold, grey, wet day in Saluzzo, today's ride isn't going to be that much fun. Long trousers, a raincoat and shoes - not what we were expecting to wear at this point in the trip. Also, Mat's gorgeous nail stickers came off yesterday so his hands look a bit sad and empty today. But we cycled with our new bike buddy Line again, which made it more fun.
The first 30km were a bit cold and wet, off road along an old railway track so it was super flat. We stopped for a much needed hot drink in Scalenghe, and then lunch 1 in Volvera. Luckily it had stopped raining by then.
It was another 30km to Turin, flat all the way. We stopped briefly at a massive Savoy era hunting lodge, and a team photo.
When we arrived into the city we said goodbye to Line, with the hope that we might see her again in Greece in June!
Btw, we are in Yellow Car central, literally. Fiat are based here, and the majority of yellow cars we've seen on this trip have been made by them. I swear that almost every street in Turin has at least one parked yellow car. Expect high scores from the next few days.
