Kat & Mat's big bike trip
Day 73 Iguomenitsa
A rest day in our first destination in Greece, a small port town with ferry links to Corfu.
It's a Sunday and nearly everything is closed, except the Archaeology museum which we visited this afternoon. Turns out there's a lot of ancient stuff in Greece, who knew!
Although Albania was a wonderful adventure it's a relief being back in the EU, able to use our regular SIM cards and spend Euros (and so far everyone takes card payments which makes life easier). Supermarkets are stocked with a wider range of foods - except kidney beans in the one we visited yesterday which was unexpected - and the country feels generally easier to navigate.
We went for a stroll along the coast again, had a snack and then returned home for another lovely home-cooked meal. We're finally back to omelettes as eggs are a) available in half dozens and are b) EU grade free range. In fairness, we saw an awful lot of extremely free range chickens in Albania, but you never know.
Love, Kat & Mat x
